Background and Goals
We designed and executed a complete Google Merchant Center product feed optimization strategy to improve product visibility, relevance, and performance across Google Shopping campaigns. Starting from a raw, unoptimized product feed, we connected the complete product catalog to Merchant Center and optimized product titles, descriptions, and key attributes using insights from keyword tools and Google feed best practices.
This resulted in stronger query matching, improved impressions, and higher-quality traffic.

Key Decisions
The primary challenge was low product visibility in Google Shopping due to generic titles, incomplete attributes, and a feed not aligned with how users search.

We implemented a Merchant Center optimization workflow: connect Shopify catalog to Merchant Center; audit feed structure and data quality; map required and recommended attributes per Google specs; optimize titles, descriptions, and attributes based on search intent; enrich feed with additional metadata; validate and monitor feed health.

Product title optimization used a search-first framework: Brand + Product Type + Key Attribute(s) + Variant. We incorporated high-intent search terms, prioritized important attributes early, avoided keyword stuffing, and ensured compliance with Google title length and policy guidelines. Attribute and tag enrichment included product category mapping (Google taxonomy), brand, GTIN/MPN where applicable, and condition, availability, and pricing accuracy.
